Beading Beauties — Monthly Beadwork Circle

December 28, 2026, 6 PM - 8 PM

🪶 Beading Beauties

The Kittitas County Historical Museum, in partnership with the Ellensburg School District Ichiskíin Sɨ́nwit ku Tiináwit Payúutmita (ESD Ichiskíin Language & Native American Culture Program), hosts Beading Beauties — a monthly gathering celebrating the art, history, and creativity of beadwork.

Meeting every 4th Monday from 6–8 PM, this circle offers a welcoming space for connection, storytelling, and artistic expression.

Beadwork has deep roots across the Columbia Plateau, where Indigenous peoples — including the Yakama, Umatilla, Klickitat, Nez Perce, K’tɨ́taas, and Pshwánapam — have long used intricate designs to reflect identity, heritage, and community. That tradition continues today through the artistry of beaders and makers across generations.

All skill levels are welcome to bring their own projects, share techniques, and enjoy an evening of creativity and community.

🧵 Please bring your own supplies.

Refreshments provided.

Beading Beauties meets every 4th Monday — celebrating culture, craft, and connection through the art of beadwork.
