✨ Learn Traditional Cedar Basket Weaving! ✨
Join us at the Kittitas County Historical Museum for a special hands-on workshop with three incredible traditional artists — Pat Dunn, Diana Dunn, and Donna McNeil — on Saturday, November 8 (sessions at 9 AM & 1 PM) and Sunday, November 9 (10 AM).
🌲 Discover how to craft beautiful items from hand-prepared cedar bark:
-
Pat Dunn – Create a festive cedar Christmas ball
-
Diana Dunn – Weave your own basket
-
Donna McNeil – Choose from a bracelet (copper & leather), cell-phone holder, or 12-oz cup cozy (includes cup!)
Students will receive step-by-step instruction and helpful tips to make their projects a success. Each artist provides unique materials, allowing for limited personalization within each kit — so every finished piece is one-of-a-kind. Basket-weaving experience is helpful but not required; all materials are provided.
Each session is a longer class, so feel free to bring your favorite snacks to enjoy while you weave! 🧺
🎟️ Workshop kits: $35 each
Seats are very limited — only 10 participants per artist, per session.
