Kittitas County Historic Preservation

Historic preservation encourages the protection of historic and archaeological resources that are associated with important past events, themes, and people; that are representative of periods and types of architecture; possess high artistic value; or that are likely to yield valuable information about the past.

As an organization that preserves and interprets the history, heritage, and culture of Kittitas County (including its people, places, and events), we encourage and support those doing identification, evaluation, physical preservation, and interpretation of historically and culturally significant sites throughout Kittitas County for local, state, or national register listings.
