What’s Included in the Apartment/Rent?

All apartments come unfurnished but have basic appliances (refrigerator, oven range, and range hood). Units also have ceiling fans, carpet and vinyl flooring, and most feature exposed historic brick that was constructed in 1889 and beautiful territorial views.

Apartments do not have dishwasher or laundry onsite. While the apartments do not have air-conditioning, most tenants acquire a portable air-conditioner for the space.

Each apartment’s rental amount includes water, sewer, garbage, and an off-street parking space for 1 compact vehicle. Tenants are responsible for their own electric and any other services (like internet).

Amazing Location!

The Cadwell Apartments are also close to most needs! We are located just 7 blocks from Central Washington University and within close proximity of most restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. We are also right next door to the Post Office and directly across from a laundromat.

The apartments are also located in the historic Cadwell Building, which was built after the Great Ellensburg Fire of July 4, 1889. As a historic location, above a Historical Museum, it offers opportunities and experiences like none other.

Who Lives There?

While we do not allow pets or animals onsite, we permit service animals as defined by RCW 49.60.040 and make reasonable accommodation for tenants with disabilities for emotional support or comfort animals which are necessary for the tenant’s disability.

How Can I Apply?

Our apartments require a 12-month rental agreement for all of our apartments.

But a tenant can vacate by providing written notice 20-days before the end of the month. Since we never know when we might have a vacancy, we do not maintain a waiting list.

If there is a vacancy, we post it to the Yakima-area Craiglist and on our Facebook page.

At that time of a vacancy, we invite anyone interested in an available apartment to fill out a rental application. Submission of a rental application does not guarantee an offer of tenancy as applicants must meet all qualifications listed in the application.
