May is Historic Preservation Month, and we invite you to join the City of Ellensburg Landmarks & Design Commission and the Kittitas County Historical Museum for an afternoon open house and awards celebration honoring local preservation, restoration, and the people who help care for Ellensburg’s historic places.
Come celebrate at the Ellensburg Historic Preservation Awards:
Saturday, May 2
4:00–6:00 p.m.
Kittitas County Historical Museum
Doors open at 4:00 p.m.
Awards presentation begins at 4:30 p.m.
The afternoon will include the presentation of the Ellensburg Historic Preservation Awards, recognizing a variety of preservation efforts across the community—from long-standing downtown buildings to historic homes and community-nominated projects. A brief special presentation from the Landmarks & Design Commission will also be shared (details to be announced).
This free public event is open to everyone—whether you’re a downtown business or building owner, a property manager, a homeowner, or simply someone who enjoys Ellensburg’s historic character and wants to learn more. It’s a chance to connect, ask questions, and celebrate the shared care that helps Ellensburg’s historic places thrive.
Refreshments will be provided, with time to visit and explore the Museum.
