Permanant Exhibit

This display highlights information about the Northern Pacific Railway (today known as the BNSF Railway) and the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Road. Combining data with photographs, archival information, and artifacts, the exhibit explores how important train transport was for passengers and commerce alike. Details also connect the rail lines to local industries like agriculture; events like completing the railways across the state and major railroad accidents; and logging railroads and rail lines that were proposed but never came to be.
